Flags at Half-Staff for Matthew Rittner

Governor Tony Evers of Wisconsin ordered flags to be flown at half-staff to honor Police Officer Matthew Rittner of the Milwaukee Police Department who was killed in the line of duty on February 6, 2019. Rittner was shot and killed while executing a search warrant as a member of the department's Tactical Enforcement Unit. He was a 17-year veteran of the Milwaukee Police Department and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served two tours of duty in Iraq.
Flag protocol
Flags shall be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset at all state buildings, grounds, and military installations in Wisconsin.
