Flags at Half-Staff for Robert W. Reider III

New Jersey Governor issued a state order for flags to fly at half-staff to honor Probationary Firefighter Robert W. Reider III of the Malaga Volunteer Fire Company, who died on July 10, 2026, from injuries sustained in a vehicle crash while responding to an emergency call on June 27, 2026. Reider joined the department as a junior firefighter at age 16 and served his community with dedication and professionalism for eight years. His exceptional attendance at calls and drills, combined with his unwavering commitment to helping others, exemplified the selfless service of the fire department.
