Flags at Half-Staff for James F. Rooney

Governor Tony Evers signed Executive Order #261 on May 22, 2025, ordering the flags of the United States and the state of Wisconsin to be flown at half-staff on May 23, 2025. This order honors former Wisconsin State Representative James F. Rooney, who passed away on May 3, 2025, at age 89. Rooney served 12 years in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1973 to 1985 and dedicated decades to public service in Racine County, including as chair of the Wisconsin Waterways Commission for over three decades.
