Flags at Half-Staff for Widemouth 2 Helicopter Crash Firefighters

Two helicopter pilots were killed on August 7, 2026, while fighting the Widemouth 2 Fire in central Utah. Governor Spencer Cox ordered flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of the fallen pilots and their service to the state. These brave firefighters put themselves in harm's way to protect Utah and gave their lives in that service.
Flag protocol
Flags shall be flown at half-staff on all state facilities in Utah.
