Flags at Half-Staff for Alexander M. Sanders, Jr.

Alexander M. Sanders, Jr. died at age 88 after a lifetime of service to South Carolina. He was a trial lawyer and state senator, the first chief judge of the South Carolina Court of Appeals, and the 19th president of the College of Charleston. He also co-founded the Charleston School of Law and taught for decades. South Carolina's Governor ordered flags lowered to honor his extraordinary legacy.
