Governor Wes Moore ordered the Maryland flag lowered to half-staff in honor of Denton Police Chief George Bacorn, who died in a car crash on September 25, 2026. Chief Bacorn served the Denton Police Department for 36 years and was recognized for his dedication to keeping communities safe. The Governor's order recognizes his courage and public service to Maryland.
