Governor Mikie Sherrill signed Executive Order No. 10 ordering U.S. and New Jersey flags to fly at half-staff on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. The order honors Sergeant First Class Trooper Sean William Acker, a 19-year veteran of the New Jersey State Police who passed away on February 4, 2026, from complications of injuries sustained in the line of duty. SFC Trooper Acker left behind his wife, retired Captain Lisa Acker, and their two children, Connor and Samantha. His service exemplified dedication to protecting New Jersey communities with integrity and compassion.
