Flags at Half-Staff for Demair Lloyd

Governor Wes Moore of Maryland issued an order to lower the state flag to half-staff in honor of Firefighter/Paramedic Demair Lloyd of the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department. Lloyd, a nearly two-decade member of the department who had served since 2006, passed away on May 30, 2026, from a medical emergency at home shortly after completing a 24-hour shift. His colleagues remembered him as a valued teammate and dear friend whose absence is deeply felt throughout the fire service community.

The Maryland flag and United States flag should be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Friday, June 12, 2026, the day of interment for Firefighter/Paramedic Demair Lloyd.
