Flags at Half-Staff for Corporal Norman Ronald Levesque

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey has ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff on Friday, August 14, 2026, to honor the interment of Corporal Norman Ronald Levesque, a Korean War veteran from Taunton. Corporal Levesque went missing in action during the Korean War in 1950 and his remains were identified by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency in September 2025. He will be laid to rest at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Taunton. The flag-lowering applies to all state buildings from sunrise until sunset on the day of his interment.
