Flags at Half-Staff for Victims of the October 7 Attack on Israel

Governor Kathy Hochul directed flags on New York State government buildings to be flown at half-staff on October 7, 2026 in remembrance of the victims of the Hamas attack on Israel. The commemorative order marks the third anniversary of the October 7, 2023 attack. As home to the largest Jewish population outside of Israel, New York stands in solidarity with Israel and all those affected by this tragedy.

Flags on New York State government buildings are to be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 in remembrance of the victims of the October 7 attack on Israel. At sunset, flags return to full-staff.
