Ryan Terpsma, 28, was a Lincoln County Sheriff's deputy who was killed in the line of duty on October 30, 2026. He was shot while responding to a disturbance call in Eureka, Montana. He had joined the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office in May after serving as a detention officer with the Flathead County Sheriff's Office. Governor Greg Gianforte ordered flags in Montana lowered to honor his life and service.
