Acting Governor Nicholas Scutari signed Executive Order No. 27, directing New Jersey and U.S. flags to be lowered in mourning. The order honors Sandra Bolden Cunningham, a former state senator who died on October 6, 2026, at age 76. She spent more than sixteen years representing the 31st Legislative District and held several Senate leadership posts. The state is recognizing her as a pioneering lawmaker and dedicated public servant.
