Flags at Half-Staff for Wisconsin Firefighters Memorial Day

Governor Tony Evers signed Executive Order #290 directing that U.S. and Wisconsin flags be flown at half-staff on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in honor of Wisconsin Firefighters Memorial Day during Fire Prevention Week. The observance honors firefighters from Wisconsin who have given their lives in the line of duty. Governor Evers acknowledged that firefighters risk their health, safety, and lives to serve their neighbors during their darkest moments of need.
Flag protocol
Flags will be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on October 10, 2026, at all state buildings, grounds, and military installations.
