Flags at Half-Staff for Allen J. Buechel

Governor Tony Evers signed Executive Order #160 authorizing Fond du Lac County to lower flags to half-staff to honor Fond du Lac County Executive Allen J. Buechel, who passed away on March 27, 2022, at age 74. Buechel was Wisconsin's longest-serving county executive, having served since 1993 and dedicating nearly three decades to public service. His leadership and contributions to county government and the quality of life in Fond du Lac County left a lasting legacy in the community.
Flag protocol
Flags of the United States and the state of Wisconsin shall be lowered to half-staff in Fond du Lac County as a mark of respect.
