Flags at Half-Staff for Those Lost and Impacted by Kentucky Flooding
August 2, 2022 – August 8, 2022
Governor Andy Beshear ordered flags at half-staff in honor of Kentuckians lost to or impacted by flooding across the state. The flags at state office buildings were lowered as a tribute to those affected by the disaster. Governor Beshear encourages individuals, businesses, and organizations throughout Kentucky to join in this tribute to honor those impacted by this tragic event.
Flag protocol
Flags at state office buildings should be hoisted to the peak and then lowered to the half-staff position, remaining there throughout the day before being raised to the peak again at sunset.
