Flags at Half-Staff for Joseph Wyatt Gates

Joseph Wyatt Gates, 24, of Raft River, was a volunteer firefighter with the Raft River Fire District. He died of his injuries after a firetruck went off East Yale Road in Cassia County, Idaho, on the evening of November 2, 2026. Another firefighter in the truck was hurt. Idaho's governor ordered flags lowered in honor of his service and sacrifice.
