President Donald Trump ordered U.S. flags to be flown at half-staff nationwide beginning Tuesday evening as a mark of respect. Nevada has joined states across the nation in lowering flags to honor Parton's remarkable legacy of music, humanity, and charitable work that touched millions of lives.
Flag protocol
Hoist the flag to the peak for an instant, then lower it to the half-staff position, and raise it to the peak again before lowering for the day.
