Flags at Half-Staff for Dallas Hinton

Governor Kay Ivey of Alabama ordered flags to half-staff on April 29, 2026, to honor Thomasville Police Officer Dallas Hinton, a 25-year-old Marine veteran who was killed in the line of duty on April 22, 2026. Officer Hinton served his country with distinction in the United States Marine Corps, including deployments to Japan and Afghanistan, before joining the Thomasville Police Department two years prior to his death. Governor Ivey recognized his remarkable service and sacrifice, noting that he brought the same courage and commitment to his role protecting the public as he had forged during his military service.
