Flags at Half-Staff for Maj. Gen. Darrell Manning
September 2, 2026 – September 4, 2026
Governor Brad Little ordered U.S. and Idaho flags at all state buildings to be flown at half-staff to honor Maj. Gen. Darrell Manning, a 41-year military veteran and former Idaho Adjutant General. Manning served as commander of the Idaho National Guard from 1985 to 1995 and subsequently held numerous leadership positions across Idaho state government. He also represented Idaho in the state House and Senate, dedicating his life to serving Idaho and the nation.
Flag protocol
U.S. and Idaho flags at all state buildings shall be flown at half-staff from sunrise September 2 through sunset September 4.
