Flags at Half-Staff for Patriot Day

Governor Jim Pillen of Nebraska ordered all U.S. and state flags to fly at half-staff on September 11, 2026, to honor Patriot Day and the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. This year marks a particularly solemn observance as the attacks remain the deadliest terror attack on U.S. soil, killing 2,977 Americans. The order reflects the nation's continued remembrance of the heroism and sacrifices of those who died in the attacks.
