Flags at Half-Staff for 25th Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks

Governor Kim Reynolds has ordered flags at half-staff on Friday, September 11, 2026, from sunrise to sunset in honor of Patriots Day and in memory of those who lost their lives in the September 11th terrorist attacks 25 years ago. Nearly 3,000 people died in the attacks on September 11, 2001, including eight individuals with connections to Iowa. This solemn observance honors all the victims and the brave first responders who answered the call that tragic day.
