Flags at Half-Staff for the 25th Anniversary of 9/11

Governor Laura Kelly of Kansas has directed flags throughout the State of Kansas to be lowered to half-staff from sunup to sundown on Friday, September 11, 2026, to honor those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. This observance marks the 25th anniversary of the attacks that claimed nearly 3,000 lives and profoundly impacted the nation. The order commemorates those who were killed in the attacks and honors the first responders and service members whose bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
