Flags at Half-Staff for Patriot Day

The Governor of South Dakota has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff on September 11, 2026, in honor of Patriot Day. This annual observance commemorates the lives lost in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and honors the victims, survivors, and first responders who demonstrated extraordinary bravery that day.
Flag protocol
Flags shall be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Friday, September 11, 2026.
