Flags at Half-Staff for Patriot Day

Governor Ron DeSantis directed the flags of the United States and the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff throughout Florida in observance of Patriot Day, September 11. The observance honors the 2,977 lives lost in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, including first responders, law enforcement, and military personnel who demonstrated selfless courage in the face of terror. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the attacks.
Flag protocol
Flags are to be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Friday, September 11, 2026, at all local and state buildings, installations, and grounds throughout the State of Florida.
